Christmas wishes for all

Santa's gone rogueSanta's gone rogueHere's a new take on "Twas the Night Before Christmas" I just had to post to wish one and all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Gear.

'Twas the night before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, And not until Spring

Would a motor be running, not even a Wing.

The Rider's Creed

I ride purely, and only, because it is fun. I ride because I enjoy the freedom I feel from being exposed to the elements, and the vulnerability to the danger that is intrinsic to riding. I do not ride because it is fashionable to do so. I ride my machine, not wear it. My machine is not a symbol of status. It exists simply for me, and me alone. My machine is not a toy.

Summer Events

Some potential Rides and events to keep in mind:

July 1st: Grande Prairie Parade: leaving Edmonton June 30th to be up in time. Free overnight accomodation in Valleyview
July 2nd and 3rd: Prince George to Sweetgrass Escorting a brother rwho is riding through 49 states and 2 provinces in 30 days to raise charity dollars

Another Awesome Event, Brothers

Brothers, while you Edmonton types were busy supporting Kevin Baker as he was ushered into the Chair of King Solomon at Norwood on June 16th, I was at the lodge of which I was past master for the joint installation of Astra #179 and St. George's #169.

Temple Centennial Swarming, March 5th 2009

Another great fraternal Sons visit occurred on March 5th at Highlands Masonic Hall, brothers. 6 Sons desended on Temple Centennial Lodge, including two of their own members, and we had a great fraternal visit. We were treated to fine degree work and great fellowship. We were well recognized at the festive board; all the Sons were asked to stand and a round of applause followed.

Christmas Greetings

Carol and I would like to wish all the Sons and their loved ones the best of this festive season, and may 2009 bring us many occasions to ride together in harmony.

Festively and Fraternally

Rescue Riders Accident Scene Management course.

At our last meeting we discussed a program called Accident Scene Managment, a motorcycle specific emergency management course that would give you special skills to minimize problems on the scene of an incident involving bikers. I have been in contact with the Rescue Riders, the organization that puts on this course.
